A fun and easy Halloween pizza featuring a spiderweb design made with string cheese and pepperoni legs. Perfect for a quick, kid-friendly dinner before trick-or-treating.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (low-moisture, part-skim)
  • 6–8 sticks string cheese (mozzarella)
  • 12–16 slices pepperoni (regular size)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
  • Flour for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.
  2. Lightly dust a clean counter or cutting board with flour. Place the pizza dough on the floured surface and let it sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes if cold.
  3. Use your hands or a rolling pin to stretch the dough into a large circle or rectangle, about 12-14 inches in diameter and ¼ inch thick.
  4. Carefully lift the dough and place it onto a sheet of parchment paper on your baking sheet (or floured pizza peel for stone).
  5. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving about a 1-inch border for the crust.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella evenly over the sauce in a single layer.
  7. Pull the string cheese sticks into thin strands (3-4 per stick) and arrange them in a web pattern: start from the center and work outward, creating concentric circles and connecting lines, touching the crust at the edges.
  8. Place pepperoni slices around the edges of the pizza, slightly overlapping the crust, in pairs to look like spider legs. Optionally, place one slice in the center for the spider’s body.
  9. In a small bowl, mix olive oil with garlic powder. Brush the exposed crust evenly with the mixture.
  10. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted. The string cheese strands should be slightly browned in spots.
  11. Remove from the oven and let rest for 3-5 minutes before slicing.
  12. Slice into wedges with a pizza cutter and serve warm.

Notes

For best spiderweb effect, use fresh, pliable string cheese. Let the pizza rest after baking so the web holds together. Can be assembled ahead and refrigerated for up to 4 hours before baking. Reheat in a 350°F oven for 5-7 minutes.
