A quick and easy skillet dessert featuring melted chocolate and toasted marshmallows, perfect for kids’ parties and casual gatherings. This gooey s’mores dip brings the nostalgic campfire flavor indoors without the fuss.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (340 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 cups marshmallows (about 60 large or 120 mini)
  • Graham crackers, broken into dip-friendly pieces
  • 2 tablespoons (28 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • Optional: pinch of sea salt
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven’s broiler to high and let it heat up for about 5 minutes.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in your skillet over low heat or in the microwave.
  3. Add 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips to the melted butter and gently stir until the chocolate starts melting but is not fully liquefied.
  4. Spread the chocolate evenly in the skillet to form a smooth, thick layer about ¼-inch deep.
  5. Generously cover the chocolate with about 2 cups of marshmallows (large marshmallows cut in halves or whole mini marshmallows).
  6. Place the skillet on the top rack about 6 inches from the broiler element and broil for 2-4 minutes, watching closely until marshmallows turn golden brown and puff up.
  7. Remove from oven and serve immediately with graham crackers for dipping.

Notes

Watch the broiler closely to prevent marshmallows from burning. Rotate skillet halfway if marshmallows brown unevenly. Soak skillet in hot water immediately after serving for easier cleaning. For dairy-free version, use vegan chocolate chips, vegan marshmallows, and coconut oil instead of butter.
