These easy peanut butter banana overnight oats are a quick, no-cook breakfast that comes together in just 5 minutes. Made with simple ingredients like rolled oats, ripe banana, peanut butter, and milk, they’re creamy, naturally sweet, and perfect for busy mornings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup milk (any kind)
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 medium ripe banana
  • 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 sliced banana (for topping, optional)
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter (for drizzle, optional)
  • 1 tablespoon dark chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped peanuts (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mash the ripe banana in a jar or container until smooth with a few small lumps.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of peanut butter and mash together with the banana until combined.
  3. Pour in 1/2 cup of milk and 1/4 cup of yogurt. Stir until smooth and no streaks of peanut butter remain.
  4. Add 1/2 cup of rolled oats and stir until all oats are coated. Tap the jar to settle the mixture.
  5. Seal the jar and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 4-6 hours.
  6. In the morning, stir the oats. If too thick, add a splash of milk. Add desired toppings (sliced banana, peanut butter drizzle, chocolate chips, etc.).
  7. Serve cold or microwave for 30-60 seconds if you prefer warm oats.

Notes

Use a very ripe banana for natural sweetness. Rolled oats are best; avoid instant or steel-cut. For vegan version, use plant-based milk and dairy-free yogurt. For nut-free, substitute sunflower seed butter. Make a batch for the week; keeps up to 5 days in the fridge. Add toppings fresh to prevent browning or sogginess.
