A quick and easy spiced apple cider mimosa that comes together in under five minutes. Perfect for holiday mornings, weeknight celebrations, or any time you want a festive drink without the fuss.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) apple cider, chilled
  • 1 cup (240 ml) champagne or prosecco, chilled
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, plus more for rim
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) maple syrup (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar, for rimming the glass
  • Apple slices, for garnish
  • Cinnamon sticks, for garnish (optional)
  • Ice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the rim: Pour the brown sugar onto a small shallow dish. Lightly wet the rim of your glass with a finger dipped in water or apple cider. Press the rim into the brown sugar, turning to coat evenly. Tap off any excess.
  2. Mix the spices: In a small bowl, combine the apple cider with the ground cinnamon and ground nutmeg. Stir well until the spices are fully incorporated.
  3. Add sweetener if needed: Taste the spiced cider. If not sweet enough, stir in the maple syrup.
  4. Pour the cider mixture: Fill your rimmed glass about halfway with the spiced apple cider.
  5. Top with champagne: Slowly pour the chilled champagne or prosecco over the back of a spoon into the glass to preserve bubbles. Fill to about an inch from the top.
  6. Garnish and serve: Add an apple slice and a cinnamon stick to each glass. Give a gentle stir if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Chill all ingredients beforehand. For a mocktail, swap champagne for sparkling water or ginger ale. Mix spiced cider ahead of time for parties. Use a dry brut champagne to balance sweetness. Don’t skip the brown sugar rim for extra flavor.
