Ingredients

  • Mini bagels (plain or everything-flavored)
  • Thinly sliced smoked salmon (wild-caught or sustainably sourced)
  • Softened plain cream cheese (or herb-infused/chive cream cheese)
  • Capers
  • Thinly sliced red onion
  • Fresh dill
  • Lemon zest and wedges
  • Thinly sliced cucumber
  • Halved cherry tomatoes
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Freshly cracked black pepper
  • Optional: thinly sliced radishes, microgreens, everything bagel seasoning

Instructions

  1. Slice the mini bagels in half horizontally. Toast lightly for 3-5 minutes at 350°F if desired.
  2. Thinly slice red onions, cucumbers, and radishes (if using). Halve cherry tomatoes and zest the lemon, then cut into wedges. Set aside in small bowls.
  3. Place softened cream cheese in a small bowl or spread directly on some bagel halves. Mix chopped dill into cream cheese for extra flavor if desired.
  4. Arrange thin slices of smoked salmon in gentle folds or rolls.
  5. Place bagel halves evenly spaced on a large serving board. Add small piles of smoked salmon nearby.
  6. Scatter bowls of cream cheese, capers, and lemon wedges around the board.
  7. Fill spaces with cucumber slices, red onions, radishes, and cherry tomatoes.
  8. Sprinkle fresh dill over the board and add freshly cracked black pepper. Drizzle olive oil over the veggies if desired.
  9. Adjust items for balance and color to create an elegant presentation.

Notes

Toast bagels lightly to add crunch and prevent sogginess. Assemble board close to serving time to keep salmon fresh. Use small bowls for wet ingredients like capers and lemon wedges. Prep ingredients the night before but assemble just before serving.
