  • Fresh basil leaves – about a handful, roughly torn or whole
  • Extra virgin olive oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Honey – 1 tablespoon
  • Freshly ground black pepper – to taste
  • Sea salt flakes – for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Wash and slice the nectarines into 1/4-inch (about 6 mm) thick wedges, removing the pit carefully.
  2. Drain and slice the buffalo mozzarella into 1/4-inch (6 mm) thick rounds, patting dry to avoid excess moisture.
  3. Arrange the salad on a serving platter by alternating slices of nectarine and mozzarella in a slightly overlapping pattern.
  4. Scatter fresh basil leaves evenly on top.
  5. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil evenly over the salad.
  6. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of honey in a thin, even layer over everything.
  7. Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt flakes and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
