A fuss-free, nutritious overnight oats recipe combining rolled oats, chia seeds, honey, and blueberries for a creamy, naturally sweet breakfast ready in the morning.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (45g) old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon (12g) chia seeds
  • 3/4 cup (180ml) milk of your choice (whole, almond, oat, etc.)
  • 1/4 cup (60g) Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon (21g) honey
  • 1/2 cup (75g) frozen or fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine 1/2 cup rolled oats, 1 tablespoon chia seeds, and a pinch of salt. Stir to blend evenly.
  2. Add 3/4 cup milk, 1/4 cup Greek yogurt, 1 tablespoon honey, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Whisk gently until smooth and well combined.
  3. Fold in 1/2 cup blueberries carefully. No need to thaw if frozen.
  4. Spoon the mixture evenly into two mason jars or airtight containers. Seal tightly.
  5. Refrigerate overnight for at least 6 hours, ideally 8-10 hours.
  6. In the morning, stir the oats gently. Add a splash of milk if too thick. Top with extra blueberries, honey, or nuts if desired. Serve cold or at room temperature.

Notes

Use rolled oats for best texture; avoid instant oats. Adjust chia seeds to control thickness. Use Greek yogurt for creaminess and protein. Add milk in the morning if oats are too thick. Variations include vegan substitutions and seasonal fruit swaps.
