A simple, refreshing, and visually stunning layered red, white, and blue punch perfect for summer parties and 4th of July celebrations. This easy cocktail combines cranberry juice, coconut water, and blue sports drink for a festive drink that pleases both kids and adults.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) cranberry juice, preferably 100% juice with no added sugar
  • 1 cup (240 ml) chilled coconut water
  • 1 cup (240 ml) chilled blue sports drink (e.g., blue raspberry Gatorade or Powerade)
  • Ice cubes, enough to fill the glass
  • Optional: Fresh berries (blueberries or raspberries) for garnish
  • Optional Alcohol: 1.5 oz (45 ml) vodka or white rum per serving

Instructions

  1. Chill all your ingredients and glasses beforehand for at least an hour.
  2. Fill your glass halfway with ice cubes.
  3. Pour 1 cup (240 ml) cranberry juice directly over the ice and let it settle for about 30 seconds.
  4. Gently pour 1 cup (240 ml) coconut water over the back of a spoon held just above the cranberry juice layer to create the white layer.
  5. Slowly pour 1 cup (240 ml) blue sports drink over the back of a spoon on top of the coconut water to form the blue top layer.
  6. Optional: Mix 1.5 oz (45 ml) vodka or white rum into the blue sports drink before pouring for an adult version.
  7. Garnish with fresh berries if desired.
  8. Serve immediately to enjoy the distinct layers.

Notes

Pour liquids slowly over the back of a spoon to keep layers distinct. Chill ingredients and glasses beforehand. If layers mix, try pouring slower or chilling longer. Alcohol can be added to the blue layer but may slightly blend layers. Variations include using sparkling water instead of coconut water for fizz or substituting cranberry juice with pomegranate juice.
