A quick and easy skillet dessert that captures the nostalgic flavors of classic campfire s’mores with a gooey, melty texture perfect for gatherings and spontaneous sweet cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sleeve graham crackers, broken into dippable pieces
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows or 1 ½ cups large marshmallows, halved
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks
  • ½ cup milk chocolate chunks
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter, 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir until smooth and glossy.
  3. Place 1 cup semi-sweet and ½ cup milk chocolate chunks evenly in the bottom of your cast-iron skillet.
  4. Pour the butter-sugar mixture evenly over the chocolate chunks.
  5. Scatter 2 cups mini marshmallows (or halved large marshmallows) evenly on top.
  6. Bake the skillet in the oven for 12-15 minutes, watching closely after 10 minutes until marshmallows are golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Carefully remove from the oven using oven mitts and let cool for 2 minutes.
  8. Serve warm with graham crackers for dipping.

Notes

If marshmallows brown too quickly, lower oven temperature by 10 degrees or cover loosely with foil. Use fresh marshmallows for best gooey texture. For dairy-free, substitute butter with coconut oil and use dairy-free chocolate. Gluten-free options include gluten-free graham crackers or rice crackers. Serve warm and fresh for best dipping experience.
